Teresa Brown, 47, died at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital after she was rescued from a fire at her third floor flat in Devonshire Place, Devonshire Street at about 2.30pm last Wednesday.

Originally from Barking, Essex, she died later that day from her injuries.

Fire crews from Earlham, Sprowston and Carrow attended the incident and a ‘high level investigation’ was carried out to establish the cause of the fire.

Two ambulances and an ambulance officer also attended the scene.

At the inquest opening this morning, Norfolk coroner Jacqueline Lake said the cause of death was to be announced.

A full inquest is due to take place at Norwich Coroner’s Court on Wednesday, November 5 at 10am.
