An inquest into the death of a 34-year-old man who became trapped between the rear wheel and framework of an agricultural vehicle in Norfolk has been opened today.
Kevin Alderton, a mechanic, died on February 8 at mechanic site in Seething, south east of Norwich.
Mr Alderton, from Horham near Eye, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem examination was carried out and stated cause of death was traumatic asphyxia as a result of chest injuries.
Norfolk Coroner William Armstrong adjourned the inquest, which was held in Norwich, for a date to be fixed pending the outcome of investigations being carried out by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and the police.
Nearly 3,000 people have supported a Facebook campaign demanding safety improvements on the A47 near Dereham set up after the latest fatal crash.
