Icy conditions lead to crashes across mid-Norfolk

Icy conditions led to a spate of crashes across mid-Norfolk this morning.

Emergency services were called to Rush Green, Barnham Broom, at about 9.30am where there had been a single-vehicle accident.

Firefighters from Wymondham and Hingham had to use emergency rescue equipment to release a trapped person but no one was injured in the crash.

Elsewhere, emergency services went to Birds Corner, Shipdham, at about 10am where there had been another single-vehicle accident. The female driver had minor injuries.

They were also called to Toftrees, near Fakenham, where a car had gone onto its side. The female driver had minor injuries.

  • It was all due to bad driving ie going too fast and without any thought for the conditions. If these bad drivers had stayed at home, there would have been no crashes.
