All set for festive fun at Norfolk coastal resort where Minty from EastEnders will turn on the lights later today
Hunstanton Christmas Cracker has not been defeated by the weather and will be carrying on throughout today.
Despite stormy weather continuing on the coast, organisers have moved the market into the town hall and the other events are set to go ahead as planned.
A tug-of-war, parade of lanterns, afternoon tea, live music and street entertainment will all feature today.
Amanda Knight, one of the organisers, said despite the fact it was “blowing a hurricane” Hunstanton would still have its cracker.
The market opens at 10am, a sci-fi exhibition complete with Dalek also opens at 10am and there will be live music from 10.30am.
Santa’s Grotto opens at 11am at the Princess Theatre and remains open to 6pm.
The parade of lanterns, with Minis and Honda Goldwing motorcycles, starts at 4.45pm with the lights being switched on by actor Cliff Parisi who played Minty in EastEnders at 5pm.
Terrorism returned to the streets of London today as two suspected Muslim fanatics butchered a man in broad daylight in the name of “Allah”.
