There may not be a lot going on, but that has not stopped hundreds of people watching the BBC filming on Cromer pier.
Tourists, shoppers and dogwalkers have all taken advantage of the hot weather to grab every available vantage point overlooking the pier, to get a look at proceedings.
But no one seems to know what the BBC are filming.
Is it a programme for CBBC?, one woman asked, or an advert? The details are being kept tightly under wraps.
Jess Coupe, 28, from Cromer, said she had been watching the filming for about an hour, and had seen the crew set up a shot of a boy trying to protect his chips from the seagulls.
She said: 'We thought it might have been something like Call the Midwife but now we think it might an advert.
'We just come down to see what was going on but it does seem to be taking them quite a long time and it's quite laborious.
'There are a lot of people for them just to get a few seconds of footage.'
Casey Robinson, 20, who was visiting Cromer with her family from Northampton, said: 'It was quite interesting just watching them set it all up.
'They haven't given anything away and are just saying 'it's a BBC shoot'.'
Her brother Tom Robinson, 18, added: 'A few people are saying it could be an ident.'
And her dad Matt Robinson, 41, said: 'I was hoping it might be Doctor Who.'
Sheila Redland, 60, who was visiting Cromer, said: 'We're visiting from Saffron Walden and my sister is here from New Zealand. We were hoping to go on the pier.
'One of the crew told us it was an advert, but people are saying it's a drama.
'It's so slow, you don't realise how long it all takes. It must be quite exciting for people here.'
The brief part of filming the EDP watched this lunchtime involved a seagull and a couple of children, frozen in time and dressed as if it were Christmas.
We already know that it's a Christmas-themed show, but that's about all we do know.
It was certainly a bit tedious with a few seconds of filming alongside minutes and hours of setting up the set and getting in the right positions.
But people were still jostling for position to catch a famous face or a bit of action.
Cast members and crew have been in town since Tuesday for the production, with filming set to finish today.
On Tuesday, filming took place at a house in Oliver Court, off Cromwell Road, and workers also set up a giant Christmas tree in the middle of the pier.
Yesterday, further filming took place at Leisureland Amusements in New Street, and crew members were also setting up more amusements around the Hi-Slide next to Melbourne Slope.
Notices from North Norfolk District Council said the pier would be closed today, and the prom and Melbourne Slope are also closed to vehicles.
