More than 400 jobs will be up for grabs when a careers fair visits Norwich.
Jobseekers are invited to the Forum tomorrow, where more than two dozen employers will be looking to recruit new staff.
Representatives of the 26 companies will be looking to speak to locals as they actively seek to fill roles.
Sean Heppinstall, of organisers Jobs Fair, said: “It’s like having an interview on the spur of the moment and is a quick and easy way for employers to choose candidates for the jobs available.
“Jobs Fairs are open to everyone who is looking for a better job, from school leavers to those aged in their 60s.”
Firms attending include Jark Recruitment, CBS Media Ltd, Anne Clarke Associates, Prestige Nursing, Manor Court Care, Home Instead, Provident Financial, Army Reserves, Travis Perkins, Norfolk & Suffolk Care Support, Core Assets, Qualified Education, Priory Group, Hollywood Bowl, Hales Group, Crown Commercial Service, Warings Furniture, Carewatch, Fisher Healthcare, First Copy, Arise, National Fostering Agency, Begin Fostering, Norwich4Jobs, Norwich City Council and CV Library.
And employers that attended previous Jobs Fairs said the experience had been positive.
A worker from City College Norwich wrote: “Unemployment is currently rising and with that people just aren’t getting the information they need to help them get a job.
“However the Jobs Fair was a brilliant way for them to access the information and to gain advice.”
The Jobs Fair is sponsored by CBS Media, starts at 10am tomorrow (Wednesday, October 8) and finishes at 3pm and the venue is The Forum, Norwich.
Admission is free and job seekers don’t need to register.
Jobseekers can also get tips and advice from people at the Jobs Fair.
