Hoveton concert for First World War centenary

A concert of remembrance to commemorate the centenary of the start of the First World War will be held in Hoveton this month.

The concert, on Friday, July 25, will be held at Hoveton Village Hall, with any proceeds going towards Hoveton St John Church, which has organised the event.

Norwich City Concert Band, with their director of music Brian Dermott, will play music and songs from the time of the First World War.

There will also be a roll call of names of people from the Hoveton, Wroxham and Belaugh area who gave their lives for their country.

Light refreshments will be served, with doors opening at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
