Lifeboat and coastguard volunteers were scrambled tonight after a horse died on a Norfolk beach.
The crew from the Sea Palling Independent Lifeboat, members of the Mundesley and Happisburgh coastguard teams and four police officers were called just after 5pm after the animal died at Sea Palling.
Lifeboat coxswain Paul Dale said it is believed the horse had a heart attack.
It was being ridden by a woman who received minor leg injuries after the horse collapsed. She was not taken to hospital.
The animal was with another horse at the time and was removed about an hour and a half after the initial call.
