A one year trial will see a weight restrictions on HGVs which can pass through East Harling.

Proposed by Norfolk County Council, a 18 tonne weight limit will be implemented on the B1111.

From Monday, April 2 the road south of the A11 slip roads through to the A1066 junction at Garboldisham will be restricted.

Residents have long complained about lorries passing through as they travel between Garboldisham and Roudham.

And damage has been caused by HGVs negotiating the tight Valentine’s Corner.

Signs will inform road users of the changes and sat nav companies will be informed.

The authority will monitor the traffic flows and the data will help with the council’s decision on whether it will become permanent.

HGVs and farm vehicles needing to access the location within the weight restriction will still be able to use the road.
