Hethersett’s first team finished third in division two of the Norfolk Alliance after a poor start, the club’s second team finished eighth in division four, and the thirds finished third in division seven of the Norfolk League.

The club chairman Tony Smith said: “The success of the third team with its mixture of some very good juniors and some more experienced players has been one of the season’s highlights.

“I don’t think I have ever had so many players email and say how much they have enjoyed their cricket.”

The trophy for performance of the season went to David Coyle for his innings of 65 in a dramatic last ball two wicket Norfolk Alliance win over Fakenham, whilst Robbie Matthews was named player of the year.
