A new website has been launched to help patients in Norwich to find care and support services in their community.

To send a link to this page to a friend, you must be logged in.

The directory has been unveiled by Norwich Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) in partnership with voluntary organisations in the city.

The website – www.yournorwich.org – aims to make services easy to find at the click of a mouse.

Each voluntary organisation has a dedicated page listing the services it provides, together with further details, and there are direct links to its own website.

Chris Price, chairman of Norwich CCG, said: “We hope people in Norwich will find this a really useful way of finding care and support. Voluntary organisations asked us to come up with a way to promote their services to local people and also to GPs and nurses when they’re looking for that extra bit of support for their patients.”

The Your Norwich website was developed following a meeting of voluntary groups and Norwich CCG in November.

Colin Lang, chief executive of Nelson’s Journey, said: “This new resource will be invaluable to health professionals and the Norfolk community for those seeking support but are unsure of where to find the help they need. We are delighted to be one of the many organisations included and welcome the opportunity for all of Norfolk’s voluntary sector services to be made more available to those who need their support.”

Phil Wells, chief executive officer of Age UK Norwich, added: “Even though most people know the name Age UK, we still find people get in touch after struggling on for too long without support. Anything that helps people find us earlier is a good thing.”
