Tots at a north Norfolk parent and toddler group brought a little festive cheer to a group of over 60s, when they held their weekly play session at a local care home.

Noah's Ark, which was founded more than 20 years ago at St Peter's Church, Sheringham, was stuck for a venue when a two-week Christmas tree festival meant the group had nowhere to meet.

But, inspired by a Channel 4 documentary entitled Old People's Home for Four-Year-Olds, group leaders Constance Tyce and Hillary Rayment came up with the idea of running sessions at Crossways Residential Home across the road.

'A lot of residents haven't got grandchildren and after seeing the benefits for both children and adults, we thought it would be a lovely thing to do,' Mrs Rayment said.

As well as working on table decorations, youngsters and their parents played games with residents and sang songs including the Wheels on the Bus, Jingle Bells and Wind the Bobbin Up.
