North Norfolk Labour Party set to hand over anti-cuts petition to East of England Ambulance Service Trust

Campaigners against cuts to the ambulance service in north Norfolk are due to hand over a 6,000-signature petition tomorrow.
North Norfolk Labour Party chiefs are hoping to present the petition during a board meeting of the East of England Ambulance Service Trust in Cambourne, Cambridgeshire, tomorrow morning.
The party, which organised the petition, says a recently-announced rethink on planned cuts to the service, affecting Cromer and North Walsham, does not go far enough.
They are concerned at plans to reduce North Walsham’s ambulance cover by 56 hours a week, and want assurances that the proposed extra ambulance resources, giving Cromer an additional four hours’ cover a week, will be kept in the district and will not cover up further cuts across the county. Both towns will be given full-time cover by a rapid response vehicle.
On Thursday Labour chiefs will meet chief executives Hayden Newton, of the EEAST, and Andrew Morgan, of NHS Norfolk, in Norwich to discuss their concerns in detail.

Then maybe someone will hand Labour back a petition cited them for all the damage Brown, Balls, Milliband, Cooper et al did to this country with their spend, spend, spend credit binge. Thirteen years of funny money, no wonder we are all suffering
