An RAF pilot who has just returned home from Afghanistan made a flying visit to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital where he witnessed his wife give birth to their beautiful baby son on New Year’s Day.
Thomas Bowles, who was due on January 29, became the second baby born at the hospital on New Year’s Day when he arrived at 4.47am weighing a healthy 8lb 6oz.
His father Jeremy, 36, a Merlin helicopter pilot based at RAF Benson, in Oxfordshire, who has just returned from a four month tour in Afghanistan and mother Sarah, 39, from Kirstead Green, near Brooke, were delighted at the New Year’s Day arrival - a “little brother” for his sister, Daisy, seven.
