An awards ceremony last night at Sprowston Manor rewarded those who work hard in the county’s care sector.

Those on the frontline let their hair down and awards were given to Norfolk’s worthy care workers.

Organiser Claire Gilbert said: “This was something I set up five years ago and feel passionately about. It’s important because it recognises people who day in day out – in sometimes challenging conditions – provide amazing care.

Presenting the evening was Comedian Karl Minns. He said: “It’s nice to be asked because these guys get so little publicity and they get
so little recognition so
tonight everyone is dressed up and if I can give them ten minutes of laughter then that’s great.”
