Police officers have decided to end an investigation into a care home which was set up following a patient's death.
The female patient, in her 90s, was a resident at PineHeath Care Home, on Cromer Road, High Kelling.
Her death late last year prompted a police investigation, with officers examining if a case could be built on the basis of manslaughter by gross negligence.
But officers have decided not to take any further action, unless new evidence materialises.
Health inspectors from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) carried out an unannounced inspection of the care home (which has around 40 residents) in November last year, and placed it in 'special measures'.
Reacting to the police's decision Paula Willimott, the care home's manager, said: 'At this time we have implemented all the things on the CQC report and are awaiting the return of the inspectors.'
