Man faces statue and guitar theft charges in Great Yarmouth

A MAN from Coventry has been charged with stealing items in Great Yarmouth - including a 3ft high statue and an electric guitar.

Simon French was arrested yesterday (Tuesday) on suspicion of burglary and theft and was due to appear at Great Yarmouth Magistrates’ Court this morning (Wednesday).

The 44 year old has been charged with; stealing a 3ft rosewood ‘thinking man’ statue from a business premises in Hall Quay on October 31, swiping an electric guitar worth £750 from a shop in the town on November 29 and a burglary at a store in the Market Place on December 9 in which a glass door was smashed and more than £375 worth of fragrances were taken.
