The increase in demand at the James Paget University Hospital’s eye clinic will be the focus of the keynote speech at the Gorleston hospital trust’s annual general meeting on Wednesday, September 19.

Hospital consultant ophthalmologist Tom Butler will deliver a presentation which will show how the number of appointments for patients requiring specialist eye treatment has been steadily rising and will outline how the increase in demand is being met.

His speech will follow a general update on the trust’s performance in 2017/18 and will come before an opportunity to sample some of the dishes prepared for both patients and staff by the in-house catering team.

The AGM is in the Burrage Centre on the hospital site and starts at 7pm. Before that, guests will be able to visit an exhibition of the trust’s services and initiatives.
