The chief executive of a Norfolk hospital spoke of her delight ahead of the publication of a new hospital performance report by a health regulator.
The intelligent monitoring reports by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) reveal the performance of acute hospitals across the country using key indicators and rank trusts between one and six - those at most risk with the lowest score.
And in today’s meeting of the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital council of governors, Anna Dugdale revealed - ahead of publication - that the hospital achieved the highest performance of band six, with a total risk score of 3 against a maximum possible score of 184.
She said it was a “really, really lovely” result and went on to praise the hard work of staff at the hospital.
The full report will be published on March 13.
