Witches, spiders, ghosts and vampires took over a Norfolk stately home this weekend.
Hundreds flocked to Holkham Hall to be part of their haunted Halloween event today..
With illuminated pumpkins, mad scientists, sticky cobwebs, and terrifying storytelling, there was no where for the brave families to hide as they made their way around the north Norfolk estate.
Children and adults enjoyed pumpkin carving, watching potions be created by scientists, a walk around the estate, as well as making spider hats .
Education co-ordinator at the estate, Michaela Dartford, said there was a lot of family enjoyment in the arts and crafts tent.
Sue Wright, 65, from Burnham Market, took her grandchildren to have their faces painted.
She said Adeline Edwards,4, Edith Sangway,6 and Maddie Sangway, 11, had got in to the spooky spirit – especially as all the staff at the Hall were in creepy costumes.
The Bygones Museum was open as usual but was decked out with spiders and creepy crawlies whilst a 'Mad Science' event kept crowds entertained throughout the day.
Felix O'Callagham, 4, even had his bogies set on fire during one of the scientist's potions, which his mum, Kate, said he enjoyed.
The event runs until Thursday October 31 from 10am until 5pm
