The earlier grey start has been replaced with blue skies and bright sunshine has now broken out across the town although temperatures remain low.

Snow is expected to hit the resort later today with some reports claiming it will sweep in at around 6pm.

  • what about the great yarmouth train service today to get to work this morning the train was suposed to leave great yarmouth at 5:47 am this morning and arrive at norwich at 6:19 it never arrived at great yarmouth till 6:07 then we were told the points at great yarmouth were frozen the delay to great yarmouth had been due to signalling failure and points problems at brundall & reedham too the train stood at great yarmouth till 7:15 am then we were told a replacement bus service was to be laid on to lowestoft when it came available which could be upto an hour due to the road conditions and then after a 45 minute journey to lowestoft we could get the train to norwich from there which would have been doubtful since reedham and brundall were all ready experiencing points and signalling problems so as it was i left the train went home had a cup of coffee after spending nearly two hours in a freezing temperature to start with phoned my boss got picked up at the end of my street and made it to work at 8:45 am 1 and 34 hours later than what i would have arrived if the trains had been running fine maybe two hours earlier than would have been expected due to greater anglia's proposal of laying on a bus service to lowestoft then the train from there to norwich if the signalling and points failures wer'nt still apparent to still cause delays
