Great Yarmouth pair charged with burglary

Police have charged two men in connection with a burglary in Great Yarmouth.

Jamie Paton, 33, of Admiralty Road and Darren Broome, 35, also of Admiralty Road, have both been charged with burglary.

It follows an incident that took place at a property in Beresford Road on Friday, March 15 just before 5pm.

The pair were taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning later on Friday and were charged with a total of four offences the next day.

No property was taken in the burglary.

Paton was also charged with assault on man in his seventies.

Broome was also charged with possession of heroin.

Both appeared at Yarmouth Magistrates Court this morning (Monday) and will appear again before Yarmouth magistrates on Wednesday, April 3.
