An art exhibition, inspired by a mixture of boxing, the Krays, childhood memories and news events, is due to open on August 19.

Daniel McGrath, 35, will be holding his second exhibition at the Rumbelow Gallery at Great Yarmouth Library.

One of Daniel’s main pieces to feature out of his 200 original works will be ‘A Hot Summer’s Day in Dallas’ which is an abstract depiction of the assassination of John F. Kennedy.

The artist first started painting a year ago when his partner Emily Young, 24, encouraged him to pick up a paintbrush.

Since then he has sold many prints as well as four originals.

Many of his pictures are inspired by his father who was a professional boxer in the 1970s.

His creations will be on display until August 26 at the library during the regular opening times between 9-5 and, on Wednesday 9- 7.30pm.
