Hoardings at a regeneration project in Thetford received an injection of colour when professional graffiti artists visited the site.
Artists from The Blight Society got busy spray-painting the white, wooden boards surrounding the building work at Sweyn Close with a forest scene that included deer, butterflies, flowers and crows.
One artist also had time to create a series of more eccentric designs which included a dramatic black and white painting entitled The Sacred Feminine and Maiden Gathering Flowers, an ancient Greek fresco.
The brief, from Flagship Housing, was to create “something relevant” to Thetford’s surroundings.
Artist John Bates said the event was part of a project called Wall Donation and added: “The Blight Society works in partnership with lots of local community projects free of charge where we, as artists, can enjoy the free space and artistic freedom to do the kind of work we enjoy.”
The three artists, Maya, John and DB, whose tag name is Beware of Everything, all have day jobs to fund their passion for art.
Flagship’s community manager, Ritch Bartlett, said: “Thanks to everyone who has kindly offered their time to decorate the hoarding.
“This brightens it up and reminds residents that the redevelopment is all about their community.”
The scheme, which also includes Fulmerston Road, will provide 66 homes for rent.
