Planning something special for her own wedding inspired Rebecca Adams and her mum to set up their business making beautiful and unique vintage accessories for brides.
Mrs Adams and her mum Helen Taylor run their business Isaiah Vintage from their homes in Fritton, in Norfolk, and Gloucestershire, and they are among the exhibitors who will be at the EDP Wedding Show at the Norfolk Showground, near Costessey, this weekend.
“It all started because when I was getting married I did not want to have a normal bouquet.
“I wanted something, unique, different, and personal to me, so my mum said, ‘we will make your bouquet ourselves,’ said Mrs Adams, who married Daniel Adams at Clearwell Castle, in Gloucestershire, in 2011.
“Mum created my bouquet with vintage brooches from great grandparents, my son’s christening gown, his first vest that he came home in from hospital, pictures of grandparents, and earrings my husband gave me. It was beautiful and a really personalised bouquet.”
Isaiah Vintage, which takes its name from Mrs Adams’ son Archie Isaiah, was set up in the same year as Mrs Adams got married.
As well as creating bespoke bouquets, the mother and daughter team also creates a whole range of accessories inspired by vintage jewellery – including buttonholes and corsages, hair accessories and personalised wedding photo frames.
Mrs Adams said: “Everything we make is completely bespoke.
“Everything is unique and something you can keep forever.”
The EDP Wedding Show is the biggest event of its kind in East Anglia.
About 3,500 people are expected to attend the event, which will be bringing together more than 140 local exhibitors.
The EDP Wedding Show is at the Norfolk Showground, just off the A47 southern bypass at Costessey, on Saturday from 10am until 5pm and Sunday from 10am until 4pm.
Tickets cost £7 per person, £12 for two tickets, and £20 for a wedding party of four.
