Cuddly animals ranging from young goats, to ducklings, chicks and a Shetland pony were among the attractions at the fourth annual Kids for Kids day, held at Stody Lodge Gardens, near Holt, at the weekend.

The event, which has raised thousands for local good causes, was organised a team led by Kate McNicol, whose family owns the Stody estate.

It also featured donkey rides, traditional games and stalls run by local schools, den making, a dog show and a pirate-themed treasure hunt around the estate's 14 acres of spectacular rhododendron and azalea gardens.

Proceeds this year will go to Holt Youth Club, which provides social, educational and training opportunities to local young people.

Thanking all those who supported the event, Mrs McNicol said: 'We have had a great turnout thanks to the amazing weather and what is nice is that children have a chance to interact with animals and let their imaginations run wild in the magical gardens.'
