North Norfolk District Council senior sports activator Wyn Nurse is appealing to fitness fans to help raise cash for two local charities, by dancing to the sounds of Latin music as the sun goes down over Sheringham's clifftop gardens The Leas.

Mrs Nurse and her team of instructors have hosted an annual zumbathon as part of the town carnival since 2015, with last year's event raising more than £1,000 for carnival funds and North Norfolk Radio Kids Trust.

She said: 'This is our third year and we want to make it even bigger and better - you don't have to be a great dancer as we aim to have fun and laughter all the way.'

The three-hour Zumbathon, which is suitable for all ages, will kick off on the Leas, Sheringham, at 6pm on Saturday, July 8, with proceeds going to the Ellen Mezzetti Memorial Fund and Sheringham Carnival. Entry is £10 and sponsorship forms are available from edwinanurse@hotmail.co.uk
