It starts off at 10am when there will be plenty to see – including the inshore and offshore lifeboats, and the inside of the service's Shed where all the equipment is stored in readiness for their life-saving missions at sea.

The lifeboat will be launched at 3pm for a demonstration off the beach, so plenty of space for visitors to watch the action. There's also a chance to win a trip in the lifeboat for a lucky person!

Fried herring is on the menu and there will be other refreshments available.

The fete, at the independent service's Tan Lane headquarters, continues until 4pm.
