Camberley Road, off Newmarket Road, Norwich, was closed off to traffic, with around 80 people gathering for a street party.

Bunting lined the street tables replaced vehicles as those in attendance enjoyed lunch and tea.

Gordon Turner, who helped organise the party, said: “Someone idly mentioned if we were organising a jubilee party. We said no but then we thought ‘what a great idea’ and we went from there.”

Fellow organiser Jane Grove said: “Yesterday nine of us went in convoy to collect the tables and chairs and it was amazing - the Dunkirk spirit and the camaraderie. Everyone has pulled together.”
