The snow is set to miss most of Norfolk tonight, forecasters are predicting.
Dan Holley, a forecaster at UEA-based Weatherquest, said: “Through this evening the main snow risk is going to be further south including Essex and Cambridgeshire.
“I do not think we are going to get much snow in Norfolk.
“For Norfolk it is going to stay cloudy and misty and still some occasional patchy ran.”
He said at 3am or 4am there may be a light dusting of snow in the south of Norfolk in places like Diss and Thetford, but that the snow was unlikely to cause any disruption.
In Suffolk, he said snow was predicted around the Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds area at about 10pm and 11pm tonight, and by the end of the night these areas could have two to three centimetres of snow. But he said the snow would struggle to lay on the wet roads.
Looking ahead to tomorrow, he said it was going to be cloudy and cold with a north east wind off the North Sea, and there may be the odd light snow shower, and he said Tuesday would be rather cloudy with the odd snow flurry.
Mr Holley said another front was coming in from the Atlantic on Wednesday, which was causing some uncertainty at the moment.
He said by Friday and into next weekend the weather was likely to be milder but cloudy.
