A COUPLE are taking part in a TV show in which they must impress one of the world's top chefs to win the chance to open a restaurant with him.
Lindsie and Tim Selby, of Ingress Park, Greenhithe, are one of nine couples appearing on BBC2's hit show The Restaurant with Raymond Blanc. Each week the couples must impress the world-renowned chef and restaurateur by showing they have the vision and talent to create the perfect restaurant.
Co-executive producer, Patrick Uden, said of the show, now in its second series: "Almost anyone who can cook or is a great host has at some point been told: 'You should run a restaurant.' And many people see it as a dream of liberation from the nine-to-five drudgery of their current life.
"Raymond Blanc embodies that dream. He has elevated the idea of a restaurant to a fairyland otherness and on entering his world the spirits are lifted." The show is screened on Wednesday evenings at 8pm.
Supporters of Scottish champions Celtic are in Norwich ahead of the Adam Drury testimonial game tonight.
