Flying Scotsman will not be in Norwich this weekend due to fault with locomotive
The Flying Scotsman locomotive will not be coming to Norwich this weekend due to engineering problems.
The locomotive was due to arrive in the city on Wednesday but broke down in Peterborough.
The Steam Dreams Rail Co. has now confirmed it also won’t arrive in the city on Saturday for its scheduled journeys to Ipswich and London.
It is currently at Nene Valley Railway where it is undergoing an engineering inspection.

But the trips will be rearranged for Saturday November 11.
A spokesperson for the company said: “We share the public’s disappointment that Flying Scotsman is unable to run this weekend, but some problems are unfortunately always possible when operating an engine of any type and age on the railway network.”
The problem with the locomotive is due to a fault with its hot axel box.
