The efforts of 42F King's Lynn Squadron Air Training Corps at Sandringham Flower Show last week gained much praise.

42F's Commanding Officer, Flight Lieutenant Pauline Petch said 'Our annual Honour Guard for the Flower Show's Royal Patrons is the highlight of a very busy day for the cadets. They work extremely hard at this very big event. The public were very vocal in their praise for them on numerous occasions commenting on the efficiency, smartness and politeness of all the cadets. Well done to all Squadrons involved'.

Over 40 cadets from the Norfolk and Suffolk Wing of the Air Training Corps were busy on car parking duties in the morning before assisting at the Royal Warrant Holders marquee.

42F Squadron were helped by air cadets from 1894, Swaffham, and 864 Watton Squadrons together with the 864, Marham who all stepped in to assist.

A number of 42F's cadets dressed to form a guard of honour for the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall.

The royal couple spoke with the cadets in the line.

42F's Cadet, Ryan Bunn, 14, said: 'Prince Charles asked how long I had been a cadet and if i was hoping for a promotion, I replied that I had been a cadet less than a year but I hoped so.'
