It cost £35million, but the newly refurbished Thomas Clarkson Academy in Wisbech has been forced to close because of flooding.
A statement appeared on the college website last night explaining that “due to a serious flood in our building, the academy will be closed to students and staff on Monday.
“We will be doing everything we can to re-open the school as soon as possible.
The website is due to be updated at 3pm today with information about opening tomorrow (Tuesday). Staff are also communicating with parents and carers via text message.
