Five fire crews have been called to a blaze at a single storey building near the Fiveways Roundabout at Barton Mills.

Crews from Mildenhall, Bury St Edmunds, Brandon and Ixworth are on scene at the fire, which prompted “a large number of calls” according to a Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service spokesman.

Crews were on scene by 7.30pm to find the 10 x 4 metre building well alight, with smoldering seats of fire also found in adjacent properties.

The incident has been sectorised, according to the spokesman.

Police were also called to the scene to assist with traffic control but have been stood down.
