Normal service will continue between Friday, December 21 and Sunday, December 23 and a normal Monday to Friday service will run on Christmas Eve - but will finish early, at approximately 8pm.

There will be no services on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year’s Day but normal services will run between Thursday, December 27 and Sunday, December 30.

A normal Monday to Friday service will operate on New Year’s Eve but, as on Christmas Eve, services will finish from approximately 8pm.

Full normal service will then resume on Wednesday, January 2.

A First spokesman said: “First Buses in Norfolk and Suffolk have worked closely with local county council’s to develop a Christmas and New Year timetable that serves customers in the most frequent and convenient way possible over the festive season.

“Consultations between Norfolk and Suffolk County Councils, stakeholders and other bus operators have been extensive, and have taken into account the various road closures and festive events taking place in Norfolk and Suffolk throughout December 2012 and January 2013.”

First has also announced that all family day tickets will be half price for the festive period, through until Sunday, January 13.

  • It's a real disgrace that First Bus can't do buses on Boxing Day. Christmas Day is one thing but for a place like Yarmouth it is making it a "no go" for people without cars. Hippodrome Circus, Cinema - other Xmas Events in town.
