First World War poems and trench songs at Aylsham concert

A First World War commemorative concert of poetry readings and trench songs will be taking place at Aylsham Town Hall.

The Hell and Humour in the Trenches event, organised by the Aylsham Music Society, will be held on Wednesday August 6 at 7.30pm.

Poems will be read by Hugh Upton and the songs will be sung by the Iceni Choir.

A short film by John Snape will also be shown. Advance tickets can be bought from Barnwells and cost £10. Tickets on the door cost £12. Children go free.
