Firefighters tackled a small fire in the roof of a restaurant in a north Norfolk village this morning (Wednesday).
Crews from Sheringham and Cromer were called to the blaze at Ivy Restaurant, Aylmerton, just off Cromer Road, at 7.41am.
The fire in the single-storey building was put out by 8.13am and the crews left the scene at 9am.
Deedee Lomax, owner of nearby Felbrigg Lodge hotel, said the fire was small and it was business as usual at the restaurant, which is on the grounds of the hotel.
Mrs Lomax added: “The guests were away from the area. The restaurant is a totally independent building and guests were perfectly OK.”
A fire service spokesman said the fire is not being treated as suspicious and no other emergency services were called.
Terrorism returned to the streets of London today as two suspected Muslim fanatics butchered a man in broad daylight in the name of “Allah”.
