Firefighters have been called out to a gorse fire


Firefighters have been called out to tackle a gorse fire on Southwold Common.

The fire was reported at 4.05pm yesterday and due to the number of 999 calls fire engines from Southwold, Lowestoft and Halesworth were called out.

The blaze at Southwold Common and Godyll Road saw about 50 square metres of gorse on fire.

The Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said the fire was under control by 5.06pm.
