Firefighters have been called out on Christmas Day to put out a blaze at a former Guides building in Halesworth.

The fire at the derelict wooden building in Wissett Road was reported at 4.05 today.

A Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said one fire engine from Halesworth and one crew from Bungay were called out to the fire, which had been dealt with by 5.40am,

The cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate.
