The two animals were stranded in a field off Griffin Lane in Thorpe St Andrew at around 4.30pm.

Crews from Urban Search and Rescue, Sprowston and Hethersett attended the scene, and had to deploy an inflatable boat to reach the pigs.

A spokesman for Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said that the pigs were recovered safely and handed back to their owner.
