Firefighters released a driver whose car got stuck in a ford between West Acre and South Acre, near Swaffham, this morning.

Police called the fire service for help at 11.24am after the Citroen Synergie could not get out of the ford on South Acre Road.

One crew from Swaffham helped the man from the car, and declared the incident over at noon.

A fire service spokesman urged people to take extreme care when driving through water.
