Firefighters tackle series of chimney fires across Norfolk

Firefighters were called to tackle a number of chimney fires across Norfolk last night.
A crew from Carrow spent 30 minutes tackling a fire at a property in High Green in Brooke, near Norwich, just after 7pm where they used hand appliances to extinguish a blaze.
A retained crew from Diss was called just before 7pm last night to put out a chimney fire in Redgrave Road. They were on scene until 7.40pm and used a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots.
One appliance from Sandringham attended a chimney fire on Stanhoe Road, in Bircham Tofts, near King’s Lynn at 6.45pm and left the scene by 8pm after extinguishing the fire and checking for hotspots.
Another crew from Long Stratton was called just before 6pm to a chimney fire, which turned out to a false alarm.
And firefighters from King’s Lynn were called to a chimney blaze in Jermyn Road, Gaywood, at 3.12pm, which was extinguished before arrival.
