There has been a fire in the roof of a building in Hepworth.

Fire crews from Ixworth, East Harling in Norfolk and the multistar from Bury were sent to Hepworth Road following reports of the fire just after 5pm on Saturday evening. Firefighters arrived on the scene at 5.23pm and found a workshop with a fire in the roof space. They used breathing apparatus, a hosereel and a covering jet to extinguish the flames.

The incident was under control by 6.30pm, after which crews began stripping the roof tiles and damping down hotspots.
