Firefighters tackle blaze in Beetley after 600 tonnes of straw catch fire

Firefighters are tackling a blaze near Dereham this afternoon, after 600 tonnes of straw caught fire.

They were called to the incident on High House Road in Beetley at around 1.30pm today.

It follows two similar fires in the last 24 hours - four pumps and two water carriers were called to Etling Green, near Dereham, at around 11.15pm last night, where 600 bales of straw were on fire.

Crews also attended a fire at Massingham Heath at around 2am this morning, where more than 400 tonnes of straw were alight.
