Three fire crews were called in the early hours of this morning to tackle a blaze in a flat above a Norwich tanning salon.

Firefighters from Carrow, Sprowston, Earlham and also the aerial ladder platform from Earlham were called at about 3.20am today to extinguish the fire in the roof space of a building on Magdalen Road, in the north of the city.

They used hose reels, wore breathing apparatus and also used a thermal imaging camera to check for hot spots.

No one is believed to have been injured.
