The death of a 60-year-old man in a firearms incident at a Norfolk hotel has been referred to the police watchdog.
Detectives are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident, which happened in the grounds of the Briarfields Hotel, off the A149 at Titchwell, yesterday afternoon (Sunday).
A police spokesman today confirmed a firearm was involved and said the matter had been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission “due to previous police contact.”
Paramedics were called to the hotel at about 1.50pm, but the man died at the scene from head injuries.
He has not been named.
Terrorism returned to the streets of London today as two suspected Muslim fanatics butchered a man in broad daylight in the name of “Allah”.
