Firefighters tackled an early morning blaze in a home in Norwich’s Golden Triangle.

The fire, in the home in Highland Road, off Colman Road, broke out just before 4.15am this morning.

Crews from Carrow, Earlham and Sprowston went to the scene.

Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and put out the fire using hose reel jets, while a fan was used to venilate the property.

The fire had been brought under control by 4.40am and the crews were back at their bases by 5.10am.

Fire engines also went to reports of a fire in a building at William Kett Close, off Gas Hill just after midday today.

Crews from Earlham and Carrow went to the scene, but the fire had been put out before they arrived.
