Emergency services were called to a fire in an art studio this morning.

It happened at a studio in King Street at 9.40am.

Crews from Carrow and Sprowston attended and the fire was extinguished within five minutes.

Watch manager, David McLeod, said: “It was a small fire in a room on the first floor of a building.

“We don’t know what caused it.”

Mr McLeod said that there building had sustained a small amount of smoke damage.

One person was treated by ambulance crews for smoke inhalation.
