Fire broke out after lightning struck a house on Sunday afternoon.
A neighbour called the fire service at around 2.30pm after lightning caused a fire in the roof of a house in All Saints’ Close, Wicklewood.
Crews from Hingham, Wymondham, Attleborough and Earlham were called to the scene, but the fire had already been put out by a downpour of rain before they arrived.
A fire service spokesman said the roof was quite badly damaged but no one was injured.
She added that no one was at home at the time.
